THE POWELL FOREST CANOE ROUTE

Are you planning on doing the Powell Forest Canoe Route in the traditional direction, Counter Clockwise? We will meet you at the date and time of your choosing to pack all your gear into our roomy vehicle and get you on your way. Most choose to do the Powell River Forest Canoe Route in this direction so they descend Cardiac Hill.

THE CANOE ROUTE (NON-TRADITIONAL DIRECTION)

Doing the canoe route clockwise (non-traditional) will likely bring you winds in your favor on the long Powell Lake paddle. The trade off is that you have to do Cardiac Hill in an uphill direction. Cardiac Hill is the 120 m ascent on the portage between Goat Lake and Windsor.

RESCUE SERVICE

There is an active logging road that follows alongside the west portion of the route. It is fairly easy to find (or hear) and flag someone down to send us a message and get a ride out.

For Serious Emergency Situations please use your own judgment for calling in Search and Rescue Serves.

PLEASE be extremely cautious when approaching and crossing the logging roads.

LISTEN for the trucks and keep out of their way.

We have permission to use the active logging roads 24/7, if you need out, let us know.

THERE IS A RESCUE SERVICE FEE
